POWER OF THINKING THE RIGHT WAY
We often tend to prioritize physiological illnesses and dismiss the psychological ones. The principal differentiating factor between the two is that a physiological illness can be detected based on certain symptoms, tests, etc. A psychological illness on the other hand, though far more severe and damaging can go unnoticed easily. Pertaining to our ‘social construct’, talking about psychological issues or even acknowledging the importance of mental health is stigmatized for the common man. Therefore, the word “psycho” has also been associated with mental illnesses. As a result, people often avoid talking about stress, anxiety, depression, fear or any other psychological issue, and even find it embarrassing to address such issues.
As a matter of fact, prioritizing mental health, talking about psychological
issues and presenting the same to your counsellor is not at all shameful. I
would say that is an act of courage and you need a lot of self-confidence to
recognize that a hand of assistance is required.
Awareness and assessment of your mental health is essential to lead a healthy and blissful life.
The most important thing in life is “LIFE” itself. Life isn’t meant for going
through, it is meant for growing through.
Every moment of life is precious and important. For every breath you take, someone else loses theirs. Stop criticizing and belittling yourself, holding back from unleashing your true potential, constantly underestimating yourself. Accept yourself the way you are with an open heart. True and unconditional acceptance of the self is the first step towards knowing yourself.
You are your own driving force. Majority of us become good/ great/ bad/
miserable as a result of our own efforts. You are responsible for the choices you make. Once you stop taking everyone’s opinion about your life too
seriously, that’s when you realize that the world has no power over you or your thoughts!
Always keep in mind, The only Journey is the Journey Within!
Yours,
